Job summary

The Galman Group in Jenkintown, PA is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician Floater to join our property management team. The successful candidate will be organized, dependable and capable of performing a wide range of routine maintenance, repairs, and make-readies to keep common areas and units safe and welcoming.

You will follow company policies, meet deadlines, and coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure timely make-ready tasks, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience required (vocational, technical or trade education preferred).
• Ability to work on-call shifts.
• Owns personal tools & reliable vehicle (driver's license required).
• HVAC certification and experience preferred.
• Plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Inspect and coordinate make-readies and repairs to meet deadlines.
• Reports major repairs and requisitions to senior technician and manager before expenditures.
• Change locks and make keys.
• Assist in moving heavy appliances and keep storage areas orderly.
• Utilize transportation to pick up parts from vendors (33%-66% of time).
• Follow safety rules and use proper safety equipment.
