Job summary

The John Stewart Company in Sacramento is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance duties across our apartment communities. The role emphasizes safe work practices, problem solving, and timely service to residents, with an on-call component for emergencies.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, scheduling preventative maintenance, conducting unit turnovers, and coordinating with the Property Manager and vendors.

Qualifications

• On-call capacity and reliable transportation required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Fluency in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and responds to work orders, including follow-up with residents and management.
• Insures preventative maintenance scheduling and performance are up to date.
• Cosmetic and routine maintenance throughout the community.
• Unit turnovers and move-in/move-out preparations meet deadlines.
• Conducts Move in and Move out inspections.
• Conducts quarterly inspections with PM.
• Performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and masonry repairs as needed.
• Coordinates, schedules and oversees vendor work with Property Manager.
