Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across the property, ensuring timely upkeep of buildings and grounds. The role involves scheduling tasks, coordinating interviews for maintenance staff, and training personnel while maintaining safety, stock, and tools.

The ideal candidate has HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, strong hands-on capabilities, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.
• Be available for on-call response to service requests.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
