Washington Soldiers Home in Orting, Washington, is seeking an On-Call Licensed Practical Nurse 2 to provide resident-centered care in a 24/7 facility. You will ensure safe, dignified care and support daily activities for veterans, with shifts scheduled on a rotational basis and a minimum three shifts per week.

Formación

• Current Washington state practical nurse license or unencumbered practical nurse multistate license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to facilitate effective and safe clinical care for residents.
• Experience/Education Equivalency: a combination of education and experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
• Agency Required Competencies: action to learn and grow; action to meet the needs of others.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, carry out, evaluate, and revise treatment plans for residents based on physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, and other nurses’ recommendations.
• Pass medications and administer, monitor, and record treatments; assess resident condition including skin; promote participation in recreational activities.
• Suction patients, administer oxygen, catheterization, irrigation; administer IV solutions, colostomy and trach care; maintain gastric feeding tubes and pumps.
• Process physician orders.
• Assist with routine rehabilitative and maintenance.
