Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard, WA is hiring a Registered Nurse 2 for the Evening Swing shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm) on a full-time, on-site basis. You will deliver skilled nursing care to residents and supervise frontline staff while partnering with the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs to serve veterans and their families.

The RN 2 must hold a WA RN license, have at least one year of nursing experience, and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington state registered nurse license or multistate license.
• At least one year of professional nursing experience.
• Proficiency in English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsabilités

• Maintain healthcare records according to current policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments for residents unable to do so themselves or monitor self‑pour meds.
• Supervise frontline staff on the unit and provide guidance as needed.
• Conduct nursing assessments and document changes in patient condition quarterly for MDS.
• Maintain open communication and share information with staff and residents respectfully.
• Assist in staff training and ensure compliance with care standards.
