Job summary

MB HAYNES Corporation in Asheville, NC is seeking an on-call emergency service technician to repair low-voltage alarm, fire, security, intercom systems and related equipment at customer sites. Repairs must follow manuals and diagrams using test equipment and hand tools.

The role requires 3–5 years of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and readiness to travel to Greenville, SC as needed. ESOP and benefits are offered along with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must have 3-5 years’ experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming low voltage equipment.
• Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on low voltage systems and other related building system products at customer sites.
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures using manuals, parts manuals, change notices, blueprints and modifications notices.
