Job summary

SentryWorld is seeking an On-call Line/Grill Cook I to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve guests at the Library and related venues, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and collaborate with staff to deliver exceptional hospitality.

You will lead by example in a fast-paced environment, train peers when needed, and contribute to menu execution with attention to recipes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to obtain the State Food Handlers Certification.
• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant facility.
• Ability to prepare food from recipes, commensurate with incumbent's skills level.
• Ability to be self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes made from our own recipes and assist with pastry items as needed.
• Set up assigned stations and gather necessary supplies/ingredients for service.
• Serve menu items following established standards to meet or exceed guest expectations.
• Maintain safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe work environment.
• Prepare and package items for Grab and Go station.
