Crystal Ridge Care Center in Spring Hill, CA seeks a dependable cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals for residents, follow approved menus, and ensure portions meet guidelines while maintaining food temperatures and sanitation.

This role requires readiness to supervise dietary staff, assist with plating, handle special diets, record temperatures, and help with serving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility (≥1 year).
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Record food temperatures and prepare pureed foods as required.
• Work cooperatively with staff across departments; supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Assist with serving meals and presenting food appealing to residents.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and assist with training of dietary staff.
• Report resident care concerns to the Administrator/Director of Nurses.
