Job summary

Arkansas Hospice is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing and supportive care in patient homes on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to assess needs, coordinate care, and document in the EMR, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering compassionate end-of-life care.

Requirements include RN licensure in Arkansas, BSN preferred, at least two years of nursing experience with hospice or home health, and ability

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience with at least one year in hospice or home health.
• Active RN licensure in Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Assume weekend/evening/night/holiday on-call duties as scheduled.
• Coordinate care for home-based hospice patients with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with attending physicians/Medical Director about changes in patient status.
• Document patient care data accurately in the electronic medical record daily.
• Instruct and support family caregivers and other caregivers to optimize patient comfort and safety.
• Respond to medical and emotional crises and conduct home visits as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospice policies and procedures.
