Job summary

Arkansas Hospice, Inc. is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team.

The nurse will provide skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in patient homes on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays according to the hospice plan of care. Qualifications include AR RN licensure, BSN preferred, and a minimum of two years of nursing experience with at least one year in hospice or home health.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Arkansas
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in hospice or home health
• BSN preferred or higher education would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assumes weekend, evening, night and holiday on-call duty as scheduled.
• Provides skilled nursing interventions and supportive care per the plan of care.
• Communicates with attending physicians and Medical Director about patient changes and care coordination.
• Maintains accurate patient records and updates EMR daily.
• Instructs caregivers and volunteers in nursing care techniques and comfort measures.
• Participates in QAPI and adheres to policy and safety procedures
