Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring a Home Care Aide - Core to support seniors and people with disabilities living independently at home. The role involves on-call shifts, 5 days per week (at least one weekend day) with a 40-hour workweek and 20 hours guaranteed.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation, while reporting changes and ensuring client safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and, if by car, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Call the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
