Job summary

Addus Homecare is hiring Home Care Aides to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in their homes across Bernalillo, Edgewood, Rio Rancho and surrounding NM areas. The role involves on-call shifts, weekend work, and helping with daily living tasks in clients’ homes.

The Home Care Aide - Core will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meals, errands and medication support, while reporting client changes to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Criminal background check required.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• The Home Care Aide - Core calls into the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks
• Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry
• Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store and other essential errands
• Assist client with the self-administration of medications
• Observe and report any changes in client's condition
