Job summary

Addus Homecare is urgently hiring Home Care Aides – Core to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes across New Mexico, including Bernalillo, Edgewood, Los Ranchos, Moriarty, Rio Rancho, Tijeras, Carnuel, and surrounding areas. The role is on call five days weekly with 40 hours scheduled (20 guaranteed), and assignments determined by a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; if driving, valid license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate with a desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Call the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal prep and laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
