Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico seeks a flexible Home Care Aide to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes. You’ll follow care plans, assist with personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping and transport to appointments, with on-call shifts 5 days a week (one weekend day) and 40 hours total.

Requirements include being 18+, able to pass a background check, reliable transportation with valid license/insurance, and strong communication and compassionate, self-motivated attitude.

Qualifications

• 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.
• 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed).
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report on tasks completed.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport clients to doctor's appointments and essential errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications and observe changes.
