Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home. The Home Care Aide - Core role requires on-call shifts five days a week with 20 hours guaranteed, total 40 hours, weekend day required; schedules set by supervisor.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation to appointments, and medication self-administration.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Call the office every morning for assignment.
• Follow specific care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist with routine housekeeping, meals, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor visits, grocery store, and other errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition.
