Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our Gray Birch Long-Term Care location in Augusta, ME. This part-time, per diem role supports preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, structures and grounds across the facility.

You will participate in an on-call rotation every 5th week, assist with installation, testing and repair of machinery, and maintain records of work performed. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to think and work independently and communicate with staff in a fast-paced environment
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Healthcare industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with installation, testing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or with tradespersons
• Maintains records of installations and inventories repair parts and supplies
• Maintains grounds as needed and on schedule
