Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair life-safety systems with minimal supervision. You will program, test, and replace components, follow safety procedures, and document work orders.

A NICET or state certification is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required. Qualifications include 2 years in Fire Life Safety and 2 years of computer skills; travel up to 90% locally is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; NICET or state certification preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety industry experience required, specifically in Fire Alarm.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred; experience with Sage 300 CRE and BI systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems.
• Program and replace components; use test equipment and software to diagnose faults.
• Follow safety programs; maintain documentation and complete work orders.
• Interact with customers professionally; travel locally up to 90% as needed.
• Attend training to stay updated on codes and standards.
