Job summary

Summit Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems. The role requires minimal supervision and emphasizes safety and adherence to codes and standards.

You will program and service a variety of fire alarm systems, manage on-site tasks, and coordinate with customers and monitoring companies. Candidates should have a High School Diploma (NICET preferred) and relevant experience in Fire Life

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; NICET or state certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components (FACP, power supply, initiating devices).
• Program and configure fire alarm systems using appropriate software and tools.
• Handle and replace alarm actuators, squibs, and high-pressure suppression components safely.
• Maintain documentation on work orders and utilize Field Service Lightning for tracking.
