Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is hiring a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision. You will use field tools and software to diagnose faults, program systems, and ensure safe operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma, NICET or state certification, 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience, and strong communication skills in English. Travel up to 90% locally may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• NICET or state certification preferred or required.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
• Programing and software knowledge with fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot to determine faults in fire alarm systems.
• Communicate with internal/external customers and offsite monitoring companies.
