Job summary

RANGE is seeking a Combination Services Technician to install and repair Range’s voice, data, and ethernet services. You will work with copper/fiber cabling, carrier systems, and field equipment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You must have a strong IT/ networking background, good problem solving skills, and the ability to travel to job sites and respond to emergencies as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in telecommunications data services.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Firm working knowledge of basic networking concepts.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Install and transfer services including voice, data, and ethernet per Range specifications.
• Perform installation and maintenance of copper or fiber cabling in aerial or buried applications.
• Install subscriber carrier systems and network devices (modems/routers/wireless).
• Locate underground facilities and coordinate with other departments for updates to records.
• Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment and assist with on-call emergencies.
• Document all installations and repairs and communicate updates to stakeholders.
