Job summary

Intermountain Infrastructure Group, LLC invites applicants for an entry-level Field Operations Technician I to support on-site fiber network operations. You will engage in basic installation, maintenance, locating tasks, and shelter inspections while developing foundational technical skills and safe field practices.

You will perform fiber locating, assist in installation and testing, and help maintain route and shelter records.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of fiber optic networks or telecom infrastructure.
Familiarity with hand tools, test equipment, and safety practices.
Ability to read basic network diagrams and maps.
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in the field environment.

Responsibilities

Perform basic fiber locating and utility marking using standard tools (e.g., locators, OTDR assistance).
Assist in fiber installation, splicing, and testing under supervision.
Own all route and shelter management- ensure they are upheld to operational and SLA standards/requirements.
Support troubleshooting of simple connectivity issues.
Conduct site surveys and document field conditions.
Maintain accurate records of field work and asset locations.
Follow all safety standards and operational procedures.
Support senior technicians during maintenance and service calls.
Be available 24x7x365 as required.
