Job summary

WSP is seeking an On-call, Part-Time Field Archaeologist to support our Heritage and Cultural Resources team in Louisville, Lexington, Kansas City, Ballwin, and Jefferson City offices. The role involves fieldwork, documentation, and collaboration with project teams across federal, state, and commercial projects.

The position is on-call with potential for long-term work and possible full-time opportunities based on workload.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation or related field.
• Archaeological field school completed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field projects during Phase I and II through pedestrian reconnaissance and shovel tests.
• Document findings with detailed notes and field forms.
• Assist in artifact identification and recording deposits.
• Work as part of a team and follow company policies.
