Job summary
WSP in the U.S. is seeking an On-call, Part-Time Field Archaeologist to support our Heritage and Cultural Resources Earth & Environment Team across Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; Kansas City, MO; Ballwin, MO; and Jefferson City, MO.
This role is on-call and hourly, with potential for longer work and possible full-time opportunities based on workload. You will assist in Phase I/II fieldwork, document findings, perform shovel tests and unit excavations, and coordinate with a Field Director while
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation, or related field.
- Archaeological field school completed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and physically able to conduct fieldwork in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist with field projects during Phase I and II testing.
- Document findings with detailed notes and field forms.
- Assist in artifact identification and documentation of deposits.
- Work as part of a team and follow safety policies.
- Travel extensively as required by projects.
