Job summary

WSP USA is seeking On Call Field Archaeologist Technicians to support Phase I surveys across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. This temporary, hourly role offers flexible hours and opportunities to work on multiple sites with a national CRM team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or a closely related field.
• Archaeological field school or similar archaeological field experience.
• 3+ years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with multiple Phase I Intensive Cultural Resources Surveys, including pedestrian survey, excavation and recording shovel tests, and recovery/identification of artifacts.
• Record data using field forms, noting artifact types, soil color (Munsell) and textures.
• Work effectively as part of a team and adhere to safety and conduct policies.
