Job summary

WSP USA is seeking On-Call Field Archaeologist Technicians for Phase I surveys in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. These are on-call, temporary hourly positions with competitive rates based on experience.

Local candidates in TX, OK or LA are ideal, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Responsibilities include pedestrian surveys, excavation of shovel tests, artifact recovery, and recording data on field forms.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or closely related field.
• Archaeological field school or equivalent field experience.
• 3+ years relevant fieldwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Phase I surveys, including pedestrian survey and shovel tests.
• Record artifacts and other materials; document soil and context data.
• Work effectively as part of a team and maintain safety standards.
• Follow company policies and project procedures during fieldwork.
