Job summary

WSP USA is seeking On-Call Field Archaeologists to support projects across the southwest, Midwest, and southeast during late summer and fall field seasons. You will collect, identify, and compile artifacts and contribute to field investigations for infrastructure projects.

You will apply current archaeological methods, maintain documentation quality, and travel to project sites as needed. Requirements include an undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology and field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology/archaeology or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of archaeological or anthropology related experience.
• Experience conducting Phase I/Class III pedestrian survey and shovel testing.
• Self-motivated, physically able to conduct fieldwork in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, identifying, and compiling artifacts and archaeological data from field sites.
• Maintain quality control standards for accurate measurement and documentation.
• Generate complete documentation using electronic systems and field notebooks.
• Travel to project sites as required to support investigations.
