Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician at Innovation Ridge, located at Appalachian State University. The role includes responding to maintenance requests, coordinating vendors, and performing inspections and repairs across on-site units.

You’ll support after-hours emergencies and assist with building upkeep and grounds to maintain curb appeal. A strong toolbox and multitasking ability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of general maintenance experience recommended.
• Must be proficient with hand and power tools.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills expected.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Responds to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Identify and coordinate with vendors for projects and paperwork.
• Perform inspections and repairs on vacated units.
• Assist with room setups, furniture movement, and show unit preparation.
• Support site turnover and cleaning of units as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections and report issues to the Site Director.
• Maintain grounds, breezeways, sidewalks, and trash removal.
• Maintain maintenance shop inventories and equipment.
