Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) seeks a Property Maintenance Technician at Innovation Ridge at Appalachian State University. Under supervision, you will handle facility maintenance, renovations, and repairs and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include responding to requests, coordinating with vendors, inspecting units, and supporting turnover and grounds maintenance. Requires 2–3 years of general maintenance and strong tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of general maintenance experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, or related).
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Clear verbal communication abilities.
• NC HVAC/R Technician License is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with vendor identification and paperwork.
• Identify facilities deficiencies and recommend remedies.
• Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate with Site Director on progress and issues.
• Ensure building breezeways, sidewalks, and grounds are kept clean and presentable.
• Support unit turnover and cleaning during turnover.
