Job summary

The Church of the Holy Spirit is seeking a dependable maintenance professional to manage a wide range of building upkeep tasks. You will handle repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related systems, while ensuring the security and proper operation of campus facilities.

This role includes setting up rooms for meetings and supporting general contractor activities. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of building maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate with various levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance work and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Perform repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using manuals and parts catalogs.
• Use hand, power tools and testing devices as needed.
• Move and assist in transporting furniture and deliveries.
• Maintain campus security by operating doors, alarms and responding to calls.
• Inspect buildings for malfunctions and repair needs.
• Reconfigure and remount modular offices to optimize space.
• Carry out landscape maintenance and irrigation checks.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms per work orders.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Record scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Assist and attend authorized General Contractors.
• Assist with janitorial duties.
• Floor refinishing and carpet cleaning.
• Clean high elevated windows.
