Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking an on-site Facilities Maintenance Technician to service and maintain church buildings. The role focuses on ensuring a reverent setting for worship and community activities while performing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and related system repairs, with emphasis on safety and preventative maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience, plus preferred trade school or apprenticeship in HVAC,

Qualifications

• Read and follow safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Present information clearly in small groups or one-on-one.
• Understand OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic software/tools.
• Maintain scheduling and prioritization to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, or replace HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, and sound systems.
• Repair locks, hinges, minor millwork, tile, and painting tasks.
• Maintain safety by reporting hazards to the FM Manager.
• Attend meetings and training to upgrade skills.
• Establish preventative maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
