Elko County Ambulance Service is seeking a Part-Time Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to perform rescue and emergency medical care in accordance with laws, regulations, and service policies. Duties include responding to calls, providing BLS/ALS care, and documenting all patient information.

The role requires operating ambulances and EMS equipment, maintaining readiness, and ensuring privacy of patient data while delivering high-quality customer service at all times.

Qualifikationen

• Respond calmly to emergency calls and provide lifesaving care per policies.
• Coordinate staffing for event standbys with BLS/ALS care.
• Transfer patients between facilities with proper documentation.
• Administer basic and advanced life support as required by law and policy.
• Document patient care promptly and accurately.
• Protect patient privacy per policies and laws.
• Operate EMS equipment and ambulances safely.
• Educate EMS staff and trainees as needed.

Aufgaben

• Respond to dispatches and drive/operate EMS vehicles to destinations.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working order.
• Record transport and patient care data in the required forms.
• Coordinate non-emergency transport requests per department policy.
• Provide EMS stand-by services at events when assigned.
• Educate EMS personnel and the public as requested.
