Job summary

MoDOT seeks an emergency maintenance equipment operator for snow removal who will operate plow trucks and spread ice control materials during weather events. This is a temporary, on-call position with hours varying by weather and season, and night work adds $1 per hour.

Locations include Belleview, Fredericktown, Bunker, Centerville, and Ellington, MO. Wage rates start at $20.00 per hour with seasonal increases (up to $22.37) and a temporary emergency adjustment of $3 per hour during winter

Qualifications

• CDL required (Class A or B) with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plow and spread ice control materials as assigned.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance; assist in site and grounds upkeep.
• Work under direct supervision in an on-call capacity during weather events; overtime and night shifts may be required.
