Job summary

South Coast Facility Services is seeking an Emergency Power Technician to travel to industrial and commercial sites for inspection, testing, startup, and data collection of low-voltage electrical systems (60V–600V). The role includes ATS switchgear, UPS, GFCI troubleshooting, and on-call rotation with occasional out-of-state training.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of electrical drawings, safety, and maintenance practices, plus a valid driver's license and willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• Familiar with electrical industry standards and codes.
• Experience in installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of ATS, Switchgear, UPS, and GFCI systems.
• Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters and IR cameras.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures and tasks as provided by foreman, manager, or project lead.
• Must drive daily locally/regionally; occasional overnight travel.
• Complete tasks in a safe, workmanlike manner.
• Set and manage project expectations with team and senior management.
• Complete and deliver reports, proposals, and required documentation.
