South Coast ESD is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education to support children birth to five with special needs under a licensed specialist. The role helps implement IFSPs, promote a safe inclusive learning environment, and foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. The Starting Date is on-call.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with children, preferably those with disabilities in an early childhood setting.
• Valid Oregon driver's license, automobile, and hold appropriate insurance.
• Must be able to pass Criminal History Record verification.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the specialist, therapists, program administrator, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Carry out instructional and behavioral programs as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in instruction of hygiene and toileting skills.
• Provide personal care of students with severe physical disabilities.
• Assist in lifting students who are physically disabled.
• Stimulate language through receptive and expressive language programs, total communication, and augmented communication.
• Carry out teacher's plans during individual and small group activities.
