Applitrack is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant at our Early Childhood Center. You will support teachers, help manage student activities, and contribute to maintaining a well-organized classroom environment.
Qualifications include an associate’s degree, 60 college hours, or a GED with ParaPro; flexibility to work with diverse learners and assist with various classroom tasks. 185 days per year on Classified Salary Schedule Grade 7 or 8.

Job Title: Special Education Instructional Assistant
Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: possess an associate's degree from an accredited college; or have earned 60 semester hours (or the equivalent) from an accredited college; or have GED or high school diploma and passing score on ParaPro test prior to employment. Must also have initiative, knowledge and understanding of children, the ability and willingness to work well with others, the ability to handle unforeseen situations in accordance with policy, and the ability to accept individual differences among children.
Job Goal: Under occasional supervision, performs specialized work by assisting teachers in instructing and directing the activities of students in the assigned classroom to provide a well organized, smoothly functioning classroom environment. Assists school administrators and staff with various administrative and clerical functions as requested.
Reports To: Administration and assigned classroom teacher
Physical Requirements: Requires light work that involves walking, bending, or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis or routine keyboard operations. Must have ability to physically restrain a student if called upon to do so after proper training. May also be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Terms of Employment: 185 days on Classified Salary Schedule Grade 7 or 8 based on credentials; prorated based on start date
