Job summary

South Coast ESD in Curry, Oregon is seeking an Substitute Instructional Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education to support children from birth to five with disabilities under supervision.

You will implement IFSPs, collaborate with licensed therapists, program staff, and teachers, and help promote development in language, social, emotional, and physical areas while ensuring confidentiality of student and family information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with children, preferably those with disabilities in an early childhood setting.
• Valid Oregon driver's license, automobile, and hold appropriate insurance
• Must be able to pass Criminal History Record verification

Position Purpose:

The Instructional Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education works under the supervision of a licensed specialist to provide support and instruction to children from birth to five with special needs. This role is crucial in implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and fostering the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children with disabilities.

Qualifications:

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent is required
• 2. Experience working with children, preferably those with disabilities in an early childhood setting.

Reports To: Teacher, Specialist

Major Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
