Job summary

South Coast ESD is seeking an aide to assist the ECSE teacher in designing, implementing, and monitoring programs for identified children aged three to five, with responsibilities including supervision and material preparation.

Requires a high school diploma, current first aid and CPR, and ability to work well with children and staff. This is a 10-month classified position located in Coquille, Oregon, and involves regular attendance and adherence to confidentiality and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a current first aid and CPR card.
• Must have experience working with children under five.
• Excellent spoken and written language skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously with a wide range of staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECSE teacher in implementing and monitoring programs for identified children aged 3–5.
• Assist with toileting, hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Provide input for updating student programs with ECSE teacher.
• Maintain teaching materials and room supplies and complete required paperwork.
• Supervise students in various settings and ensure safety.
• Lift and position students per approved protocols and assist with restrooms.
