Qualifications
High School degree and a minimum of 48 semester hours of college-level coursework or an Associate degree.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
Must possess or be able to obtain a commercial driver's license with P and S endorsements.
Responsibilities
Assist special needs students in the classroom and during other activities.
Work with individual or small groups of students to reinforce learning.
Collaborate with teachers to meet students' needs.
Skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information
Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions
Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children
General knowledge of adapting instruction for students with special needs
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
Education
