Job summary

UCLA Health's Rape Treatment Center at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA seeks an On-Call Rape Treatment Center Counselor to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and accompaniment to sexual assault victims 24/7.

The position involves evening/weekend shifts; per diem with potential to convert to career. The Rape Treatment Center offers comprehensive, 24/7 support including medical, forensic, counseling, and advocacy services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from an accredited institution.
• CA State LCSW or license-eligible to practice in CA.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse age, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Must be within 30 minutes of UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA when on-call.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone and in-person on-call crisis intervention, advocacy, and accompaniment to sexual assault victims seeking medical care and forensic exams.
• Support victims with information about rights and options, and ensure trauma-informed care.
• Evening and weekend shifts; per diem appointment with potential to convert to career.
