Job summary

UCLA-Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to provide on-call clinical coverage for 24/7 forensic medical examinations related to sexual assault/abuse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, exam procedures, and coordinating follow-up care with hospital and community partners.

The role requires NP licensure in California, 2 years of NP experience, and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a ~90 hrs/month commitment.

Qualifications

• CA RN License and California NP License required.
• 2 year NP experience -required
• No previous forensic-medical experience required. Comprehensive training provided.
• State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II
• MSN/DNP in NP specialty-required
• National Board Certification as an NP-required
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC- required
• 30-minute response time to the clinic- required
• Ability to utilize Excel, Word and other software programs - required
• Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence - required
• Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner - required

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call clinic coverage for forensic medical examinations.
• Perform sexual assault/abuse forensic medical examinations.
• Coordinate follow-up care with hospital departments and community agencies.
• Assist RTC NP Supervisors with clinic operations.
• Facilitate collaboration with law enforcement, DAs and crime labs.
