Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health seeks a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for on-call, 24/7 sexual assault/abuse forensic exams at the Santa Monica RTC. You will perform direct patient care, coordinate follow-up, and provide crisis intervention.

Requirements include CA RN/NP licensure, 2+ years NP experience, and CA NP furnishing with Schedule II. Comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

CA RN license and California NP license required.
2 years NP experience required.
No forensic-medical experience required; comprehensive training provided.
State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II
MSN/DNP in NP specialty required (FNP, Peds, Adult/Gero, Women’s Health)
National Board Certification as an NP required.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in CURES required.
30-minute response time to the clinic required.
Ability to use Excel, Word and other software programs required.
Ability to work independently and set priorities; follow through with minimum direction.
Demonstrate writing skills to compose clear correspondence.
Document patient care concisely and comprehensively.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and sexual assault/forensic exams.
Coordinate medical and follow-up care with teams and agencies.
Crisis intervention and clinic operations support as needed.
Assist NP Supervisors with clinic operations and interdepartmental collaboration.
