Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. is seeking a technician to maintain and repair cranes, perform routine maintenance, and respond to on-call requests.

The role involves working in a safety-first environment, with after-hours and weekend service as required by customer needs. The position requires troubleshooting, inspections, and field upgrades of industrial hoists and cranes, plus coordination with the Service and Branch Managers to schedule daily work and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years crane experience in an industrial facility.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Commitment to safe work and safe driving.
• Willingness to work at various heights off the ground.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to communicate well and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Perform OSHA-required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports/repair orders.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule daily work.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly; notify supervisor of deficiencies.
• Work effectively in a team environment and attend trainings as required.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned.
