Responsibilities

Assist in the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Creates and maintains a sterile field and uses aseptic technique.
Performs scrub duties and counts with RN.
Prepares instruments, equipment, suturing and stapling devices for procedures.
Saves and identifies specimens according to policy.
Prepares medications within the sterile field under direction of a RN.
Maintains inventory and ensures room is restocked and ready for cases.
Maintains professional communication with the team and adheres to OR policies.
