WVU Medicine in United States is seeking an OR Scrub Technician to assist nursing staff and surgeons under supervision. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, positioning patients, and assisting with instrument handling and aseptic technique.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, and either LPN licensure or completion of a surgical tech/RN program or two years of scrub experience. This position is based in a hospital operating room setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• For post-5/1/2024 hires: licensure as LPN or completion of Surg Tech/RN program or 2 years scrub experience.

Responsabilités

• Set up for scheduled cases with supplies and instrumentation.
• Assist in safe patient transport and proper positioning on OR table.
• Confirm surgical site and procedure per safety goals.
• Scrub and don gloves/gown; assist in gowning and gloving.
• Assist in instrument/sharp/soff goods accounting.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and improve instrument handling.
• Assist in OR cleanup and restock supplies.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures and protective equipment.
