Job summary

A healthcare institution in West Virginia is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams in maintaining sterile fields, preparing instruments, and assisting with various duties in the operating room. The ideal candidate will have current certification, preferably one year of scrub experience, and skills in aseptic techniques. This is a non-exempt position with scheduled weekly hours of 24, primarily during day shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist Certification from an accredited board required.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• One year of prior scrub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes quality aseptic technique in the OR.
• Assists in monitoring sterile field and counts with RN.
• Prepares supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.

Skills

Ability to follow strict sterile technique

Ability to set up operating room with instruments and supplies

Knowledge of and adherence to strict aseptic techniques

Education
