Job summary

The Doubletree by Hilton Austin is seeking an assistant to the Banquet Manager to support guest service during events, set up banquet rooms, and ensure a smooth, high-quality dining experience.

Qualifications

• Hotel or banquet service experience preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around a banquet setting.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed, including linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function specifics.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly manner.
• Serve food and beverages and maintain consistency throughout the function.
• Assist with clearing dishes and resetting room for the next function.
• Adhere to state, federal and corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Assist teammates and work as part of a collaborative team.
