Crescent Hotels & Resorts’ The Hotel Indigo Austin Downtown – University and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin Downtown – University are seeking enthusiastic On-Call Banquet Servers to join our Food & Beverage team. Provide outstanding service for meetings, banquets, weddings, and other events with teamwork and professional presentation.

This on-call role offers flexible hours based on banquet and event demand; candidates should be available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum banquet/restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event details to understand service expectations, menu selections, timing, and room setup.
• Assist with the setup of banquet and meeting spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, silverware, china, buffets, beverage stations, and other event materials.
• Greet guests in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally in accordance with established service standards.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverage selections, and event-specific service requirements.
• Refill beverages and anticipate guest needs throughout each event.
• Clear plates, glassware, silverware, and other service items throughout and following banquet functions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked banquet service areas.
• Communicate effectively with Banquet Leadership, Culinary, and fellow team members to ensure seamless event execution.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and communicate concerns to a supervisor when necessary.
• Assist with event breakdown, cleanup, room resets, and preparation for upcoming functions.
• Follow all hotel standards, food safety requirements, sanitation procedures, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
• Handle hotel equipment, supplies, and property responsibly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational and event needs.
