Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Houston, River Oaks, is seeking an On Call Banquet Server to assist the Banquet Manager during events and ensure a positive guest experience. You will help set up banquet rooms and greet guests with courtesy.

Responsibilities include serving courses and beverages, replenishing drinks, and resetting the room for subsequent functions. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to stand long hours.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Willingness to pitch-in and help coworkers; team-oriented.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to carry up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linens, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food/beverage to guests and maintain consistency.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room after events for next function.
• Comply with state, federal and corporate alcohol-service rules.
• Work regularly and be available for shifts.
