Overview

The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up and serving food and beverages at banquet functions according to hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preparatory tasks and side work to ensure prompt and efficient guest service.
• Read Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and familiarize with the menu for each function.
• Serve guests courteously, professionally, and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Respond to guest concerns, complaints, and accidents, communicating with management as needed.
• Set tables according to hotel standards.
• Maintain a neat and stocked banquet storeroom.
• Clean and restore banquet spaces after functions, storing equipment properly.
• Prepare rooms based on BEO and meal functions.
• Follow money handling procedures when serving guests.
• Know menu items and provide accurate descriptions.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; related experience is a plus.
• Flexibility to work long hours as needed.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift.
