Job summary

Spokane Public Facilities District is seeking a Tech Specialist for North Bank (Arena, Podium, Stadium). This part-time on-call role operates AV and related technology during events, ensuring equipment is ready and working.

You will handle cameras, audio and lighting consoles, video playback and switching gear, train users as needed, and provide guest and staff support. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; related AV experience preferred.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques, and theories of technical systems.
• Experience with audio visual systems and/or camera operation preferred.
• Competent in problem solving, time management and personal effectiveness.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays in a seasonal capacity.

Responsibilities

• Operates technical systems and equipment; stays updated on technology developments and recommends improvements.
• Operates video cameras, audio consoles, lighting consoles, instant replay machines, video playback and switching gear.
• Maintains technology, systems, and equipment.
• Provides internal and external guest service to employees, contractors, event personnel and attendees.
• May train users in startup and basic use of AV equipment.
• Communicates client feedback, issues, or compliments to supervisor promptly.
• Performs varied duties requiring independent action and new methods.
